Andrew Kemp, Lawyer & Mediator

Andrew Kemp obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 and was called to the Bar in BC in 1997. Andrew practised with a firm in Prince George, BC, first as an associate and then as a partner, until the spring of 2009 when he left the firm to open his sole practice as a Lawyer and Mediator.

Andrew is a Civil Law Mediator and is a member of the Civil Roster of Mediate BC.

Andrew Kemp has been a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia since 2002 and served for one year on its Board of Governors. He is a former president of the Cariboo Bar Association and was a County Coordinator for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia for several years.

Andrew gives lectures on legal issues from time to time to various groups. He taught the business law course at the College of New Caledonia in the fall of 2001, and was a sessional lecturer at the University of Northern British Columbia, teaching Commerce 300 - Introduction to Business Law, from 2011 to 2016. Andrew has been a guest on "Seniors Moments" on CFIS-FM in Prince George on two occassions to discuss some legal issues surrounding wills and estates.

Andrew has lived in Prince George since 1986, and before attending law school he was an Official Court Reporter for 10 years, first in Manitoba and then in BC.
